This project unfolded in early summer in a small village in Segovia called Sotosalvos, not far from what I consider home. I spent my days capturing moments with both my film and digital cameras.

Meet Chuion Beck, a ceramic artist. Originally from Korea, she made this lovely place her home, surrounded by family and some regulars who drop by every day.In the time I hung out with her, I got to see up close how she works creating, gathering materials, playing with colors, baking, and turning something as simple as clay and minerals into something beautiful.

Watching someone craft with their hands is fascinating. I can say seeing Chuion work with care, love for what she does, and excitement to show me was truly captivating.
