A PLACE TO STAY.
“A place to stay” comes from the desire to tell something simple and beautiful through yawning produced by Primavera Ruiz and photography by Iván Arribas. It is an uncontrollable gesture that connects us all.
For a few seconds, it doesn’t matter who you are or what your occupation is, yawning makes us all the same. The artists behind this project want to explore the natural way of connecting and human simplicity through yawning.Yawning unmasks us.Seeing these portraits will ignite multiple questions.
“A place to stay” refers to that moment in which we finally embrace our true selves, when we stop for a second to get fresh air and mentally reset. This exhibition includes 18 black & white portraits of different people, each one with a different story to tell. They might not have much in common but all are connected through yawning.
The portraits are for sale with a limited series of 10 certified copies measuring 60cm x 90cm (180€) and 5 certified copies measuring 29.7cm x 21cm (90€ A4).
